Sashi works internationally on award winning drama, music videos and advertising. His 5th feature ‘Death of England: Face to Face’ was nominated for Best Single Drama at the 2022 BAFTA and RTS awards. Sashi was also longlisted for Best Cinematography for this film at the BAFTAs.

 

Recently Sashi did dailies as Main Unit DOP and worked as 2nd Unit DOP on Netflix’s new flagship show ‘The Three-Body Problem’ from the ‘Game of Thrones’ creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. He also shot a unit on 'Paddington in Peru' and has started a feature doc about Damon Hill directed by Alex Holmes. Out soon is ‘Real Love (Yes, It’s Real Love)’ an improv comedy feature from director Jamie Adams starring Sian Clifford, Russell Tovey and Ophelia Lovibond. In recent years Sashi has also shot a LGBTQ-themed comedy-drama taster for Big Talk, two short films for the BBC, and 2nd Unit for Lena Dunham’s latest HBO show, ‘Industry’.

 

Sashi is represented by UTA. His narrative work includes 5 features, 45 shorts, and HETV Drama for Netflix, HBO, ITV and BBC. Sashi has also shot commercials for Saatchi & Saatchi, Red Bee Media, Karmarama and Adam & Eve DDB, for clients such as John Lewis, BMW, Google, British Gas, BT, XBox and Dunhill.

  

Over the years Sashi has developed his skillset to produce beautiful images no matter the budget or time frame, and believes that the way a subject is framed is just as important as how they are lit. Sashi always ensures through lens choice, lighting and framing that his work evokes and enhances the underlying story.
